There are numerous fossils and shell imprints in the ocean floor when exposed at low tide. There are incredible rock formations and cemented mud with creature holes and indentations created under the surf and exposed at low tide. There are wonderful tidepools at Fishing Rock and Fogarty Creek State park, both located about a 5 minute drive South of Admiral’s Retreat. Devil’s Punchbowl, Boiler Bay and numerous other tidepools provide hours of exploration of crustaceans and sea life as well as sea plants and rock formations.
